The Saturday night version of Thankful Thursday

I am so excited! Now that I am a blogger I get to participate in all the games that the cool blogger girls play!! So here is my back dated version of Thankful Thursday.....

This week I was thankful for Timmy.

When I got off work on Thursday, Tim needed to make a dash to Huntsville to fetch something that he had left at the firestation up there. It was a spur of the moment deal and it turned out to be a pleasant little-kinda-sorta-some what of a date. We decided to stop at the Alpine pizza place for dinner and then he took me over the Ogden Divide thingy in to Ogden. That was one crazy drive. Talk about a scary, scary, scary road! Once we made it into Ogden, we stopped at one of his firefighter friend's house to play with his puppies (in case you are wondering, Pancho would be one of those puppies that Tim plans on bringing home). Then we stopped for a treat before we headed back up the canyon. It was such a nice night, nice ride, nice little escape. Just Tim and me and no kids. He's pretty fun to be with. He had me laughing the whole time.

It was pretty cool!

This is a post made by my good friend Gwen at the courthouse

From Gwen:
Zac and CJ and Treyson floated from the Dickson Property to OUR Property on East Canyon Creek. Roger and I went down to our property to wait for them, and surprised about 4-5 "boys" skinny-dipping. There was a mad dash for underwear, and in the process they left all of their ILLEGAL fireworks behind - darn :( Those went in the garbage for sure, rotten little trespassers.............. They came over from where else - the subdivisions in Morgan City. They have NO respect for PRIVATE PROPERTY, that's for sure. We're just lucky they didn't start a fire in the tall dry grass.

I was horrified!

OH NO!!!I called Lydon yesterday around 3:30 and he told me that he was just getting home from swimmin' in the "crick". Please -oh please- tell me that his was not one of the naked backsides that you saw (his embarrassed mother will kick his naked butt). Please -oh please- tell me that he was not the one in posession of illegal fireworks (his firefighter dad, uncle, other uncle and the entire Morgan County Fire Department will kick his potential fire starting butt). Please -oh please tell me that he wasn't your trespasser(his county clerk mother with have one of her deputy friends kick his juvenile delinquent butt). I'm just sick about this! Please come let me know if I need to do some grounding this weekend.

He's not old enough to bring girls home. I'm not old enough for him to be old enough to bring girls home.

P.S. Please forgive the foggy picture. It's not easy getting a clear picture by shoving the zoom lens of my camera through the blinds of the bedroom window while crouched down on the floor so that the girls wouldn't see me sneaking their picture.

Relay for Life

Friends and Family:
As you know, we lost our mother this past February to cancer.

During her five year battle with cancer, our mom was an active participant in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life events. Even during the years when our family did not have a relay team, she still managed to attend the survivor’s social and walked the survivor’s victory lap.

So, this year we felt it more important than ever for our family to team up and participate in this year’s Morgan Relay for Life event.

Our team name is: “The Boody Bunch” (our mom’s nick name was Boody)

The event takes place August 8th at the Morgan High School track. Through out the day and night, our family will take turns walking around the track to honor our mom’s amazing courage and strength during her life and her battle with cancer.
Our team goal for this year is $2,000. Please help support our efforts in meeting this goal for “The Boody Bunch” with a tax-deductible contribution to the American Cancer Society. You may send your contribution directly to us
